With more than 17 years experience of manufacturing fissure-sealing materials, DENTSPLY has long been at the forefront of preventive dentistry and yet again, they have taken pit and fissure sealing one step further. They are now pleased to introduce Dyract® Seal Compomer Pit & Fissure sealant and the new Total-Seal™ Technique.
Dyract® Seal, a light-curing compomer pit and fissure sealant available in clear or opaque, combines total sealing ability, high abrasion resistance, excellent mechanical properties and long-term fluoride release. With NRC (Non-Rinse Conditioner), DENTSPLY has introduced an innovative acid conditioning procedure for Dyract® compomer materials. This time saving non-rinsing procedure not only makes the change of cotton rolls obsolete but also enhances the acceptance of the treatment, particularly with small children. The Total-Seal™ Technique also involves one coat of Prime & Bond NT, a low-viscous acetone-based adhesive, prior to the application of the sealant; this adhesive ensures deep penetration of resin into the narrowest fissures and tight sealing - a pre-requisite for long-term efficacy of the sealing. Compared to conventional sealing techniques, the Total-Seal™ Technique leads to complete filling and sealing of the fissures.
