Clinical Information
The average cavity size is steadily decreasing. This trend is due to carious lesions being detected and treated at an earlier stage, and by new instruments enabling the preparation of 'minimally-invasive' cavities. Such cavities are, however, difficult to fill with medium viscosity materials without creating voids and air bubbles. There is a strong need, therefore, for materials designed for this specific situation. Both the flow characteristics of the product and the application device to place the material in the cavity determine the success of the procedure.
Dyract® Flow is presented in a syringe with disposable needle tips. The size and design of the syringe and needle tips, coupled with the thixotropic nature of Dyract® Flow, gives the dentist the right balance between extrusion and application. When first extruded it is "runny" enough to adapt to the cavity walls during placement but then shortly afterwards it stops flowing, retains its shape and, unlike other flowable materials, does not spill over cavity margins.
Dyract® Flow offers substantial fluoride release and is used in conjunction with Prime&Bond NT and NRC Non-Rinse Conditioner. Dyract® Flow is available in refill pack with 2 syringes in 7 shades.
